So this year you're pampering and spoiling yourself? ... those are truly priceless gifts...
Being a single man without kids. I can afford it without guilt(somewhat, but my siblings daughters and sons i like to buy presents). But being a single man at my age ain't all roses. With such a tendency to violence, I can understand his aversion to women.
If I liked violence, especially the emotional type, I'd still have a woman around.
A couple of weeks ago my sister tried to suck me into one of her emotional s#!7storms and I told her what I've been feeling and concealing for 50 years. I said I didn't marry her, I didn't have sex with her, and I don't have to allow her to put me through her emotional meat grinder. That ended any communication from her, but I don't know for how long. It is her pattern to raise such a stink that everybody around her ends up running, crying, and/or getting physically ill. Then she skips merrily away like nothing happened and shows up weeks or months later, still acting like nothing happened. She thinks that is how she is supposed to treat people. I think being around her is like having malaria. You never know when it's going to hit and when it does, you feel like you wish you could die.
So...one less emotional terrorist for me this Christmas.

ps, I sent my Fluke 27 to a Fluke Authorized repair shop. You can call that my Christmas present to myself.
Yes I know, probably nobody but me has a Fluke 27. It's a very versatile 1% meter which broke after only 39 years as my daily work horse.
If I can get it fixed, it will probably last longer than I will.

Couple of Seymour Duncan Jazz SH-2s for the Godin LGX in my stocking for Christmas. I'll find out what I got for my sweetie when we open presents. I'm such a perfect shopper. Everything fits and is just what she wanted!

I am someone on the outside that has no desire to get on the inside. I am a lot smarter than that
. While I envy the relationship of a few of my married friends, I consider myself blessed that I am not in a marriage like the one of most of the married people I know are experiencing.
