Are most of you Electronics Engineers?

Found out later he was a Nuclear physicist.
Been there, done that.
But the results vary. One might annoy you to death with his 9th decimal place questions and another one just got back from installing generators in a Saudi dam project. I fired the first one and apologized to the second one.:(

Not hard to understand, but not a nice feeling, either.:(
"Hi. All the jocks I chased are sitting around with ruined knees and mental defects from too many contact sports. They were among the 99% that let women distract them from their training so they never made it to the Big Time. You, on the other hand, your brain is intact and so is your cash flow. Would you like to buy an expired Lottery ticket in the form of ME?"

When I was much younger and had a head afire with hormones, I'd be insanely attracted to beautiful women... and now that I'm 52, I just say hello and think to myself: "so you're pretty... what else can you do?"

The irony is that I married an extremely beautiful woman who's also extremely smart ... though I'm smarter... cause I married her ... :)

Uh oh! I daresay it may behoove you to associate with a better class of people!
You are reminding me of my mother right now. "You are known by the company you keep."
Mom! All I did was see an idiot at school, the school you and the government forced me to attend. Why is it my fault?

The fact that MrChips had a two sentence conversation (instantly rejecting any further interaction) does not mean that is who he, "associates with".
This is worse than, "guilt by association". It is, "guilt by the absence of association".

Ok already! I was shamelessly leveraging @MrChips post in a 'bid' to register my boundless distaste for science-phobes -- My bad!:D

Best regards

I dropped out of EE at year 4 - sorry tech boom started, and I just can't wait to get a job. But looking through the questions, I think most questions are 2nd year or 3rd year EE questions (no offense intended). So a solid math background and math up to differential equations work. Unless we want to start talking VHDL programming and DSP stuff.
But I think we can do pretty awesome things at that level already. Sadly, I mostly do hobby hardware now. It's mostly firmware and software for me these days.

Welcome to AAC, Nath... and no offense taken. This is a learning site, so it shouldn't surprise you that the level of questions here are undergrad... although if you stick around long enough I'm sure that some of them will surprise you and test your abilities.

People find science interesting but if you talk electronics to people that aren't into it, they glaze over like deer in the headlights.
DNA Robotics You're right! But since most of those ppl ARE into all their electronics toys I say it just means they're tunnel visioned hypocrites as well as tawdry morons:mad:o_O!

I say the lowest form of human life are ppl who's whole world is based on vicarious existence from like TV programs and movies or spectator sports or online games and like that! So they're embarrassment to our species cuz of tawdry petty empty minded nothingness:mad:!

So being fair I'm not insulting ppl just for enjoying those types of entertainment just ppl who center major part of their lives on it:rolleyes:!

Mine is easy. I say I'm in nuclear physics. That shuts them up pretty quickly.
MrChips I say the totally disgusting part of it is that those same idiots who don't like substance prolly know the biography of every TV soap character and all the intricate details of their friends' and foes' fashion accessories:rolleyes:!

So tawdriness isn't just a young thing or an American thing but it's for sure that drowning in sea of morons is holding us all back:mad:!
