Hi there,

I was interested in knowing how can power electronics applications be used in developing techniques of carbon emission redcution.

Can anyone provide any links for this? Or help me in any other way?

I don't think there is much of a connection. Carbon emission is related to the conversion of one form of energy into another. This process always involves some loss, that is it is less than 100% efficient. The big bang for the buck involves in moving away from processes that convert chemical energy into mechnaical energy.

Small increments in efficiency, even if possible, do not deal with growing demand for energy from fossil fuels. Solar, wind, water, and nuclear are all technologies that have low carbon footprints. It has been 30 years since TMI and in that time no new nuclear plants have been constructed or even proposed.
