Hi im new here therefor Hello to everyone!,

Im trying to build a metal detector using an IR2110 mosfet driver. I use 12 volts to drive the coil and to fed the mosfet driver. I use the driver as two low sides with 2 mosfets sepperated coil drivers. The fets i use are IRFS31N20DTRL that gives mee max 200v 30A and Rds-on is 0.082 Ohm but when im pulsing the driver the driver will take 2 amps is this oke?! at 10v it is taking around the 0.5 amps and i cant figgure out why its taking that mutch amperage.

Im wondering why this occures beqourse it likes to schrink my batteries by the minute :)

5v digital with a 10k resistor pulselength 200uS and closed time is 1000uS i tried to disconnect both coils and tried again and the mosfets get up to 100 degrees in a minute can it be the resistors at the gate? Ill try to replace those with 2 100nF's
