I have an car alarm.
I wish a general discussion.

I intend to leave the phone in the car. There are apps that take photos remotely.
But I want to take photos when shock or proximity sensor is on. To take a remote photos.

But if someone has a 3G band jammer?

It should keep an internet connection, which will not consume much internet traffic and to be notified when the connection is lost.
Actually Ihave an old Android cell phone with the broken touch screen and I want to do something creative with it.

What's the objective of the pictures? Are you assuming that the camera will be pointed in the right direction to identify the source of the alarm?

A visible phone might tempt people. I've had people (children) steal change from my unlocked car.

I belive that a cam that is funtional and shows what is recording on display discourages malevolent people.
I can post an announcement that the recording is saved on Internet and not in the phone.

The phone will have a front cam oriented to the front of the car and one oriented to the back of the car.
There will remain uncovered areas.

I would use a dedicated Webserver camera. There are some that offer 12v input and you can set them to notify a Smartphone as well. I would have it out of sight at the back of the car facing the front. Then only way something could happen was if someone knew it was there and busted out the rear window to disable it. Again that would make your alarm go off so it would be hard to do so...

Just a thought for an option
