He could always get a 55 gallon drum and put water in it - then start putting the paper in the water. Using one of those metal paint stirrers he could shred the paper into pulp. Scoop the pulp and press it into a 3 inch PVC pipe and make paper logs. When dry he can throw them into the fire place and heat the home. The money he could save could go towards the tuition.

My college buddy's dad was a rural mailman and said he would use the junk mail to get the vehicle unstuck by dumping it into the mire under the tires.

Going through some old photos - found this one.

Until we put up snow dams we used to get this every year. The snow would extend about an arc length of four feet, then break off and crush the garden. Also, didn't want anyone walking underneath (the letter carrier in particular) and risking a crushing ice fall.Glacier Roof 01.JPG
