Those looked like "E's to meHow about 333, 33k ohms? (though the "3" on R1 is not the same style as the one on R38)
When one doesn't yet know it all.......then it seems more prudent to ask, than to assume.It is certain that the resistor and the circuit board were produced by different companies and designed by different deigners, possibly in different countries. So why should the lettering be the same font???? AND I agree that the value would be about 33 K ohms. 33x 10**3=33000.
Let's say I measure it.It doesn't look toasted. Why not measure it?
