I am trying to design a single axis solar tracker which compares two solar modules (270 W) and give feedback to motors .
now problem/doubt i am having are
1) how to take shunt from solar module for ckt ( moule output is 36 V and 7 A)?
2) i have tried to connect a solid iron bar in module output, it gave me ,voltage drop in mV
across iron bar. Can LM1458 IC be used for this application(as comparator)?. i want min 5 V ouput.
3) i heard that AD623 is better.
Please help me with ckt diagram and suitable ICs.
I am newbie in this field with some theoratical knowlwdge..Help me

Do you want a digital output (comparator) or linear?

 

i am trying to make tracking system for solar module. With change in intensity of sun , voltage of module remains almont constant but current varies. i want to make controller to compare power of two identical solar panels. the controller will provide feedback to DC motors, which will allign panels in line with sun at position where power from both modules are equal.

i think digital output can drive relays
