It is a line of vitamins and supplements called "Doctor's Best". The minerals are listed as "High-Absorption..." where ... = magnesium, iron, or what ever mineral/vitamin they are offering. That is all coupled with some unfortunate truncation. Unfortunate for the seller and funny for most other viewers.

 

And a picture of the "Doctor" shows a guy in a flannel shirt and cutoff jean shorts sitting on his couch with a box of twinkies and a bright light shining from under the door in the background..

Using drones to make "deliveries" is interesting to Amazon but may be actually get spearheaded by the illicit drug trade. Reduced risk to the seller if the drop gets made by an inanimate object.

 

Except the military will have its really big drone up high tracking all of the little drones. The small drug-drone could actually facilitate targeting -- of course not on American soil.

You can legally ship marijuana in this state (to someone over 21) but don't use the mail or any federally managed business. Drone drops would be the perfect way for "deliveries" in town.

 

The fed's have claimed the skies, even for low-level drones. The AMA (modeler association) has gotten a limited exemption for non-commercial, hobby or recreational use, line of sight, plus a few other restrictions. Even that exemption is being threatened.

All commercial use, even when a farmer uses a drone to survey his fields, is regulated (in theory). So, delivering MJ legally would seem to require Federal approval. Maybe an executive action by the current administration would allow it.

You can fly internally in Oregon with marijuana so there must be some of 'unofficial' exemption here.

But passengers traveling over state lines should leave the recently legalized drug behind, as taking it out of state is still a federal offense. New signs posted around the terminal read, “Please be advised recreational marijuana is not permitted on flights traveling outside of Oregon.”

Maybe it's best for now to stick with tried and true delivery methods.

I know that you are correct, but I claim the airspace over my land from the ground to 35 yards high. That goes for starlings and drones.

A friend of mine was driving back from PA to NYC on I-80. The PA police stopped him. He had a partial keg in the back of his van. The police asked if he knew why they stopped him. He said "no"

The trooper said ... "Excessive speed. New vehicle. Florida tags. Got any drugs?"

 

Poor timing. A few miles further, he would have been in NJ, and could have gotten off with, "Wha d'ya need."

Anyone looking to make MJ drops with a drone is probably more concerned with evading the law rather than complying with the law.

But at the moment, it's executive IN-action that allows that and other crimes.

 

Agreed, but I consider that "inaction" really an active low action. This is an electronic, not law forum after all. I believe the legal term is prosecutorial discretion. Proving abuse of that discretion is a very steep hill to climb.

The moral? Don't hire idiots for delivery men.
Never break two laws at the same time. (Not withstanding the fact that today's police can turn dropping a chewing gum wrapper (littering) into 6 different crimes.)

When I saw a heroin delivery arrive in a "Flower Power" van, my head nearly exploded.
Flowers, rainbows, unicorns, and marijuana leaves, painted all over a VW mini-bus full of hippies wearing tie-dyed t-shirts, beads, ragged blue jeans, and floppy hats. What a bunch of morons!

Back on topic of drones. The sex and drug industries typically are on the forefront of technology. I can't think of too many sex services that can be accomplished by today's drones, however, the illegal drug industry could use them in their logistics chain.

It's very likely that the legal Oregon pot businesses will apply for and get permits for Drone delivery using a third party service like Amazon. The legal Marijuana sales from state licensed bushiness is handled by the state booze office and it gets a good cut of the sales cash so they will do what's needed to increase the amount of sales and the money they get from sales.

Right on. I read something several years ago that the programming technology for modern advertising pop-ups and such was actually developed for the porn sites.

As we used to say, there is more money in collecting garbage than selling diamonds.
