Hello,

Im trying to repair my friends Albrecht DR790 CD but am struggeling to determine the parts that are broken. For context, it was working until lightning struck her house, since then it hasn't worked. After taking it apart, it was obvious that the fuse was blown due to black soot surrounding it, also a resistor was blown leaving the same residue. However the resistor value was also blown away. Luckily for the fuse the text was still readable enough. Im trying to reverse engineer the PCB but some parts have no product code printed on them. I've tried contacting the producers but they've left me on read so they're of no help.

any help would be appreciated

IMHO, you'd be better off to just buy a new power supply. It's often not easy to repair a failed SMPS. A new one will be very inexpensive compared to the time and effort of a repair. All you need is to match the output voltage and match or exceed the current specification.

The output voltage might be printed on the power supply circuit board, or possibly on the other CD board. You may have infer the current requirement from labelling on the CD player.
