Hello, I am working to convert a three phase variable frequency drive to a single phase input. The three phase cable we are splicing to do this was initially on another one and we are placing on a new one with different markings. The new port markings are Ground, L, N, W, V, U. On the previous system, the wires were connected as
Tan: W
Red: V
Black: U
Tan: T
Red: S
Black: R
2 Greens: Ground
We have attached one power line to the L on the new one and the ground at the ground.
I am hoping someone might know a safe effective method to make this change. Currently we are looking at simply disconnected two of the phases into the input and then maintaining the three phase output as this would maybe be single phase with the input changes. I can supply model numbers and images if needed, I just want to make sure we are making a safe change.
