My 7 segment isn’t displaying correctly
My 7 segment is anode and it is connected to 7447 ic and I have double checked the wires and check from YouTube but still doesn’t work
Here is an example all of the inputs are in ground and it should display 0 but it only displays g image.jpg

Pin-3 of 7447 is /LAMP TEST, active LOW.
Connect pin-3 to GND and all segments should be lit, i.e. it should show 8.

Are you certain that the IC is 7447?
It could be 7448.

Yes I’m sure that it is 7447
And no the set is new
When I plugged pin 3 into ground it just not lit up image.jpg

If you test your display with a multimeter on the diode test settings, does each segment work?

I note that your breadboard doesn’t correspond to your circuit diagram as you have only one resistor instead of seven. That shouldn’t stop it working unless the g segment has a much lower voltage LED.
But does it work when you have 7 resistors As per the diagram?

Hi,
When using only a 4 Bit Switch to control the inputs, the pull low resistors are not required, they should be wire links to 0v,
The other side of the switches should have pull up resistors to +5v , say 4k7.
E

EDIT: this image shows connection for Pin #1, [ pins #2,6,7 require the same]

Look carefully at the display, and note the segments that are off.
In the first photo, the segments that are OFF form the number 1.
In the second photo, the segments that are OFF form the number 2.
etc.
when the g segment was lit on its own, it is the only segment NOT lit in the number zero.
whoever mentioned 7448 was correct. (@MrChips )
