hi 747,I have daily personal experience with fakes, a bin full, my recycler loves those fakes and is richer as a result.
Be careful, unless you have proof. Companies are serving legal papers to recover from the damages that wild claims have caused their business and reputation. I have ordered thousands of chips from Jameco when I was repairing vintage stereo and Ham equipment with only two or three bad chips (see below*).With Jameco you can also easily get fakes.
I have some SN74S189, socket pulls. Not sure if those ("S" type) would do or not...i can't find a 74189 or 74F189 (64-bit ram) do you know a replacement for that ic (DIP)
What speed to you need? I have some new old stock Xicor X2210 (64x4 NVRAM) that I'd sell you for what Jameco wants for 74189. Though postage from the US to Belgium might be an issue...i can't find a 74189 or 74F189 (64-bit ram) do you know a replacement for that ic (DIP)
