7 segment clock, size issue

I'm making a 7-segment display clock with display size of 2.3inchs. i have done a rough layout for this and observed that trace lengths are too long. I dont know whether it will cause any delay or latency in signal propagation as such, I'm just concerned that it will cause some issues with multiplexing.
Is this right or not?
PCB layout is posted it is not complete, Im going to use perf board for laying down components.

At the frequencies you might sensibly use for multiplexing (100Hz - 1kHz) the lead length will significantly affect the operation.

Hi rahul, I dont think you need to worry about latency until you get to very high switching speeds well into the MHz.
