For common cathode.
Is 4511 the cheapest and easiest to get?
I looked at DigiKey and eBay.
Did I miss some other product?

Maybe. Depends on how many digits you need to display and what else is in the rest of the circuit.
Nothing serious.
eBay was doing a discount and I needed to round up the order to 25 USD to get the discount, so I bought some common cathode 7 segment led displays. I can drive them from Uno, but that thing has limited current it can supply and it is total overkill anyway. So I started looking for common cathode driver ic. So far 4511 is the cheapest and easiest to get.

The 4511 IC is a great part, evidenced that it is still being used and sold after more than 20 years. AND it has the advantage of being multi-sourced so that if one manufacturer has a sudden "production yield" problem you can keep your production like moving. It also has a few nice features available, such as leading zero blanking.
