3 wire voltage regulator

Hi Everyone
I am looking to connect a 240 VAC variable speed voltage regulator onto a bridge rectifier but the regulator only has 3 wires, live IN, live OUT and a ground, can I actually run the mains Neutral to the rectifier ?

Any help appreciated
