Hi,

I'm doing a simulation with the circuit given as shown in the attachment. The circuit is a 3 phase full wave uncontrolled rectifier circuit with a resistor as its load and a LC smoothing circuit. When the new load is changed to (old load*5), the diode peak current decreases, and the current waveform at the capacitor is clipped at the negative value. Can anyone explain about this? And how does the AC side power quality changes when the resistive load value is changed? Attached is the circuit layout. Thank you.

You need to post the simulation results. Don't understand what you mean by "the current waveform at the capacitor is clipped at the negative value."

What do you mean by "And how does the AC side power quality changes when the resistive load value is changed."? The power quality is determined by the AC source. The current does change, of course.
