I am currently learning various new elements of electrics and am trying to label all components of this 3 Phase DOL Starter I have 1. as the 3 Phase Supply 2. as the MCCB/Fuse and 3. as the Motor but all the elements inside the middle box I don't know where to start on. All advice would be much appreciated.

1 = Supply
2 = Disconnect.
3 = N/O push Button
4 = Contactor Relay
10 = Overload contact.
9 = O/L elements.
5 = Relay Contacts
7 = retaining contact
8 = N/C Push Button
6 = 3 ph load.

Al;so helpful to learn to draw it out in ladder format.

And if I Closed 2. and 3. power would flow through the relay and close 5. which would send power to 6.
Just trying to get my head around the components and how they link together.

N/C = Normally Closed, that is a typical starter circuit with a momentary start PB and a retaining contact across this P.B. , this seals the contactor in.
If there should be a motor O/L, it is detected by opening contact 10 and dropping the contactor coil out.

If you really want to understand electronic systems, you should also learn the proper semantics.

Power does not flow in the system, it is developed or produced at any given point in the system, when you close a switch "current" begins to flow and "power" is developed in the load (preferably).
