Folks,

For our motor controller (~7KW) we are looking for a freewheeling diode preferably SMD.

Did look around the usual websites (Digi, Arrow, Element et al) and company websites. Could not find anything. Maybe I am not searching properly or I am missing something. When I can find a 5$ 150V 300A SMD MOSFET why is it difficult to find a diode of similar rating ?

I'm guessing your requirement is an anomaly. In such cases, I'm persuaded, that people seek alternate solutions.
