I'm building a 2 wheel drive e-bike. I have 2 hub motors that are the same. They both came with controllers and I'm wondering how to make 1 throttle control both at the same time. Do I need to use both controllers or can 1 handle both motors?

 

You must (most likely) use both "controllers" and would probably be best to use one as primary, with the other regulated by the output of the primary.

If they are controlled by a pot, just try hooking both inputs to the one pot and see how that works.
But when you ask for help, it is a good idea to provide some real info, like...
What controllers and motors do you have?
Any connection diagrams, power ratings ....
