Hi first post but i have a question about a set up I have.
Currently i have a 12v striplight outside my door which is wired to a PIR sensor so when you approach the door the light comes on. Which is what i want it to do. I want to add a dusk to dawn sensor so the light only comes on at night (save some electric), how do i add a dusk to dawn sensor. Im not after the wiring as such as thats easy (3 wires) what i want to know is should I put the sensor before the PIR so it only activates it at night or after the PIR so the sensor works all the time but the light only comes on at night? Or does it not matter at all.
Any help would be great.

Hi C101,
Welcome to AAC.
Some PIR modules do already have the printed circuit track for adding an LDR.
Which type of PIR do you have,? a photo would help.
E
If your PIR has the BISS IC.
checkout this circuit.
