My question is quite simple and I don't know why I can't find the answer online. I'm building a 8 cell battery and I'm wondering if I can use a 10 cell BMS (since I already have it) to balance the cells. I'm not 100% sure exactly how a BMS works so I'm worried it might burn it or just not charge at all if two leads remained unconnected. It probably won't work but a second opinion is always much appreciated!
