For the last 6 years i've been using an FT950 and although I think it is very good, I'm about to resurrect my old FTone which I really loved. I had a full set of board extension leads that made servicing it really easy (something that when done carefully really livened them up!) I've still got an old valve wobbulator with all the xtal marker crystals, and I had replaced the first stage R.F transistors with ones selected for low noise. The small gains from careful alignment add up to give a considerable improvement in performance.
My problem is that having moved house twice since I last used the radio, I can't find the extension leads and wondered if anyone has a set they would lend, sell, or hire me?
