I want to connect an e-bike battery (4pin, 36V, 13.4A, xt60 connector) to a brushless motor controller of an e-scooter (36V, current limiting 16A, xt30 connector). When buying the battery the description said it is compatible with 350W motors but I overlooked the difference in connectors. Is it possible to connect them using an adapter/smoldering without doing any damage to the parts in the long run?

Welcome to AAC.

The connector is arbitrary but the motor controller is rated up to 576W, where does the 350W come from?

There is no problem making an adapter from XT60 to XT30 so long as you respect the maximum current capacity of the XT30 connector.

Hello.

The e-scooter motor is 350W. I should also mention there's a short cable going from the xt30 into the motor controller. If I drive uphill could I exceed the maximum current of the xt30 connector and cable? I'm quite slim and short.
