i purchased two xbee s2 module from http://robokits.co.in/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=278&zenid=50cc564ec7097dfd1e56ec0cf9ab54f5 and i purchased one xbee usb adapter from http://robokits.co.in/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7&products_id=323
i downloaded x_ctc software from digi.....


xbee1(to be attached to computer)
firmware as coordinator
baud rate 9600
pan id 3FFF
destination address low 13A200

XBEE2
firmware as router or end device
baud rate 9600

once after writing the configuration
i plugged in the router device(xbee 2) in the bread board, connected as follows
pin1-3.3v
pin2-Dout is connected to Din pin3(for loop back test)
pin 10 is grounded

i plugged the xbee (coordinator) to usb explorer and using x-ctu application i started a range test but i get back nothing, everything i get is timed out no response,.... i am really frustrated kindly tell me where i have gone wrong please is i am wrong with the connection or with the configuration

 

It's difficult to say without more information.

What are the scan channel (SC), Operating Channel (CH) and Operating PAN ID (OP) values for each radio?

Also what mode is each radio operating in (AT or API)?

What kind of output are you getting on the router XBee's pins 15 (ASSOC) and 6 (RSSI) when performing the range test?
