My Xantrex Prosine 1000i works fine for a couple of minutes with a nice sinewave curve and 232v on the scope, but then the error message "system shutdown" appears, the inverter goes off and bips loudly and appears to be stuck in cycling without going back on.

If i turn it off then on again, it goes for a couple of minutes then the story repeats...

I checked all mosfets are ok, and when in operation, no excessive heat appears on the thermal camera.

Any idea where to check ?

Check the main DC bus capacitors for bulging or leakage. Ageing capacitors can fail under load.

Hello there,

I checked all capacitors visually then with an LCR meter to see capacitance and ESR - all good.

However, i was surprised to see that it has only 2 capacitors rated 1200uF 25v at the entry of DC rail.
