Years ago I was fooling around with my keyboard and came up with an idea for making an update on "Mack the Knife", written in 1922 for the musical 3 Penny Opera, which Bobby Darin made into a huge hit in 1959. Using Bobby Darin's lead I rewrote the song's lyrics into a more Marine Corps slant, and updated a few lyrics to bring the humor and political topics more up to the present day. I hope you enjoy my rendition of "Wook the Knife"; this is my first draft as I hadn't actually recorded it in 20 years.

And it shows them, pearly white
Just a Ka-Bar has old Wookie, babe
And he keeps his haircut, High and Tight.
(well, not quite)

Scarlet billows start to spread
Fancy gloves, oh, wears old Wookie, babe
So there's never, never a trace of red
Now on the sidewalk, huh, huh, whoo
sunny morning, un huh
Lies a Commie, just oozin' life, eek!
And someone's marchin' 'round the corner

Could that someone be Wook the Knife?
There's a Patrol boat, huh, huh,
down by the river don'tcha know
Where an old Sea bag's
just a-droopin' on down
