I am looking for a way to have a shell of sorts for a remote. Although it isn't just a shell. I want to to be so when a button is pressed on the shell it sends an electrical signal that presses the actual button on the remote. So I would need a little gadget that would fit in the shell and extend or move down (as in pressing the button on the remote) when it receives electrical current.

 

So, sort of a remote-controlled remote?

Why not just get a long stick, and use it to press the real button on the TV?
