Hey, I recently graduated from the University of Washington with a B.S. in Computer Engineering. I am going through learning withdrawal and am looking for a place to fill in the gaps, and continue learning.

A worthy goal, electronics makes a good hobby if not a good avocation. I like the fact you can test most of it out relatively cheaply, it satisfies the inner scientist.

Suffering from learning withdrawal?
When I got done with my University B.S. I suffered from burn-out!

I salute you.

G'day people and other sentient beings,

My name is Rhonda ... I recently attained my foundation level amateur radio licence in Australia ... I am interested in learning more about the electronics involved with the eventual hope of building my own transceivers but one step at a time ... also some electronics knowledge is needed for attaining higher level licences ... that's about it from me for now ... I am sure to have many questions in the future!!

Cheers
Rhonda

Hello All!

I am an electrical engineer working in Dallas TX.
I am here to learn more about circuit designs and pcb designs. There are a lot of things out there that I don't know.

Hi everyone!!!

I'm a 31-year old who was in sales before getting laid-off in 2008. In hindsight, I should have pursued electrical engineering, but I'm here now and trying my best with the math, science, and troubleshooting behind electrical and electronic systems and components.

I did two years at Eastern Maine Community College (Electrical Automation & Tech) and am now doing year 3 and 4 at University of Maine (for an EET degree). I lurk on this forum often and love the knowledge, resources, and encouragement to think and test for ourselves.

I also got soaked in transformer and recloser oil several times during a summer internship at a local utility maintenance garage. Hands-down the most fun I've had and I realized how little I know about anything, hah!

I'm an electrical and electronics engineering student at Gabs Technical College, Gaborone, Botswana...accidentally stumbled upon this site while searching for more info on common emitter transistor amp ...AND so far I'm impressed.. very useful

Hello,

I am developing gesture control interfaces for performing arts.

My knowledge in electronics is like an Emmental cheese : lots of holes, but a good taste.

I graduated from DeVry in the early 90's and enjoyed a satisfying technical
career (audio/video & computers) working for the City of New York. I now
focus my attention, full time, on projects which were placed on the "back
burner" during my career.

Thought I'd liberate this old post to say hello.

I'm new to the forum but not new to electronics. I've been on and off working with circuits for the past 20 years. To be honest though, it's not really got more advanced than lighting up a small bulb or LED :p

I'm hoping to get a little further in the field in a shorter amount of time.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi.

Thanks :)
Dal
