Hi guys!

I'm Angel, Industrial Design Student from Puerto Rico. I love designing electromechanical products and incorporating software into almost any design I do, but still learning on all that hence why I joined here to read up and seek feedback from the knowledgeable community here C:

Nice to meet you all !

This is to introduce myself as a new member. I joined to post a question about the strange (to me) circuit that lurks under the black blob on a flip flap flower PCB. I started a new thread because the most recent flip flap discussion I could find was years old. I'm no electronics expert by any stretch, but I dabble trying to remember what I've forgotten from my Uni days at the University of Western Australia. Vacuum tubes were common when I was a kid. The first transistor radio came into our house when I was twelve. That was in 1962. I'm a retired petroleum drilling engineer and more recently author of published thrillers, most of which have a political, petroleum or religious thread. I hope I'm not violating any rules to say you can look me up on Amazon at www.amazon.com/Frank-Aquino/e/B0056I1294. I chose Joey Godalla as my handle because it is the title of one of my books. But that's way off topic. I look forward to being part of this community.

I'm located in Perth, Western Australia. I just tried my link to Amazon and it doesn't work. I think the dot at the end got assimilated into the link.

Howdy all! Well I'm just a simple person that makes steampunk type lamps as a hobby and have recently been interested in added new features to my designs which is what brought me here.

Hi Everyone, I am a Techician in a Semiconductor Company and Currently going to school for Electrical Engineering 2nd year- Undecided what paths to take? or How many are they?

Hi everybody.... I'm a retired civil engineer with a question about electrical safety on a new sewing machine (haha... bet that's a new one).... I've just posted a question in the General area and would appreciate some advice. Many thanks. In case you are intrigued by my username, I used to get very grubby in my working life plus I'm also a (bobbin) lacemaker.

Hello just wanted to say this is a great site and hopefuly i can help in anyway and vice versa i used to work for an electromagnetic interference company and just basically getting to know more on electronics

Hiya Twoxcel, thanks for your post. As I mentioned in my intro, I'm a retired (aged 59 but still 29 in my head hehe) civil engineer in the UK who has a question about electrical safety on a domestic sewing machine that doesn't have an on/off switch, unlike virtually every other domestic appliance I own! Some of your colleagues here have suggested solutions, for which I'm grateful. If you guys need any help on the sewing front, then just post a question and I'll get back to you.

Hi Everyone,

I just finished college in LIT studying Sustainable electrical power systems. I have great interest in wind and solar technologies and like to play around with Rasperry Pi and Arduino's. Joined the forum to perhaps get a bit of advice on a few projects I'm working on, learn more and share a bit of my own info if I can.
