Hello everyone.
Here is a somekind of applied sciences hobbyist, as also a radio amateur and a professional antenna technician. I do antenna installations, master antenna systems, satellite dishes, all sorts of tv and radio antenna installations. I run a small business on these, trying to make a living. Mostly, it actually feels like a hobby to me. EDIT: said that, it does not mean that i do my jobs lightfooted in any means. I use only top class materials, follow the applicable norms and regulations and allways do written documents for the clients on jobs done. /EDIT. Maybe one day, it will be serious business. Time will tell. Located in Finland, and i am 35 years old male.

Hello All,
First off great forum. I have learned alot in the past few days skimming through and to the many posts i have read just want to say thank you to all of you.
I am a machinest, welder, fabricator, by trade. My 13 yr old son is in the engineers club in his school and I have always liked electronics just never knew much about them so i just recently dove in and made a little hobby for me and us to do together. He is currently working with his school with the MATE underwater competition, which made me want to learn more.

Hi all

I'm a telecommunication engineer, with 8 years experience designing UHF CATV electronic equipment and associated circuits(opamps, dcdcs...)and 2 years experience designing home appliances' circuits.

Now i'm doing my Ph.D. in MMIC design, but love building circuits with discretes, so i've signed in.

Regards.

Iban

Hi All

I am currently in the final year of a foundation degree in Electrical and Electronic engineering and work in Asset Integrity looking at electrical and instrumentation systems, on the gas distribution network in the north of England. This is however a new job with the same company where I have been a gas engineer for the last 12 years thus I find myself on a steep (and very interesting) learning curve.

Happy New Year!

Gareth

I'm just a tech with no " official " schooling . I been working on electronics for over 15 years . I started most probably like everyone , as a kid , taking apart anything with moving parts lol . Then after many years of tinkering I started reading manuals and textbooks to learn wat was actually going on . For a self taught tech I do ok . Any questions just ask :)
I am also the same type with 30 years of practical experience in electronic home equipments. I have also worked with one one CFL making company . I learned reading electrical circuits. There i met one Mr. Peter very senior automation engineer & became friends. Now i am working as operations incharge & also have learned accounts & manage stock of 500 different fragrant materials. That's all. The message is, go along the flow of water & don't try to oppose the flow of life. Respect other people's views. Thanks for giving me opportunity to express myself.

Greeting:
I'm an designer/illustrator with a fair amount of mechanical knowledge. I've got a few patents and have built a few telescopes and some simple electrical accessories for it. I dabble in many things and enjoy learning, gaining skills and building stuff.

I doubt I'll be able to help answer electrical questions but I'll have some. Maybe I'll be able to help with some of my other knowledge though.

Briefly tell who you are.

I'm a senior student studying EE at UC Berkeley, specifically analog circuit design. B)
My Dear Friend ....I am embarking on a future project on Green energy in NZ after migrating here from UK where my work was to do with Italian sports car for over 35 years and the mechanical areas are familiar to me But Electrics was not .Although I do understand simple circuits on cars and I could do home electric repairs .Generators and Wind Turbine is what I will be anticipating to work with and I would want to start understanding basic circuitry to do with electric motors .So I need to start from basic knowledge on these aspects .
I am hoping the knowledge from my mentors .
......Best Wishes ..

Hi Ravinder
What is the best in life is to start hands on which I have seen in my life that brought success to well known genius .University /College only opens the door for one but does not guranatee success its what you make of that knowledge bank .So my friend you already had the measure of the game .Well Done as I am one of the same breed that got hands dirty and proved that I could hold a job and by trial and knowledge from books at the same time understood to overcome problems.
Was a student of jpurnalism ....took a job which was my hobby to raise money for my college ...but ended up becoming a top engineer with italian sports car of the noteable name :) Best of Luck ...if I can be of some help

Like wise Civil Engineers make safe structures and Automo
Eh.. it's ok... some companies are interested in me but when I go to interview they're filled with people with masters degrees at the least!!!! I better find something quick... what are you up to?
If you are Good at what you do and honest in your work with commitment you will always be a want commodity .
Me Im retired automobile development engineer and now wanting to get into setting up small green energy hybrid kits of wind turbine and generaters for Northern New Zealand where I have settled after a busy hectic life in UK .....lots of space ,good weather ,fresh air to stimulate the brain ....:)
