Hey everyone. I'm a 17-year-old high school senior, and I plan to study chemical engineering
at Auburn University upon graduation. I've always had a passion for learning, but I realize now
that I have very little practical knowledge about how the machines I use every day actually work
(pretty sure "magic" is not the answer). So I'm here to change that!

This site looks to have a myriad of great resources. I'm only on the fourth chapter
of the first volume (DC), but I've already increased my understanding of electricity as
the material is top notch and easy to understand. I'm looking forward to learning more
about electricity and electronics, and who knows, maybe I'll gain enough knowledge
to work on some projects of my own!

Hei ladies and germs,

I am a total electronics newbie who has embarked on a group sound electronics project to be presented in March 2015 at an alternative Vision and Sound Festival in Helsinki. I am part of the local sound electronics group and we have been doing some workshops which will lead to an interconnected group sound machine. I am adding myself to this group cause I already have a lot of questions which you can all help with hopefully. I am looking forward to some knowledge exchange in the near future!

Best!

Hi,
I am an Avionics Maintenance Engineer from England and I currently work on Corporate Jets. My knowledge of electrical systems is ok but sometimes I feel its lacking when comparing to others. I'm here to learn as much as I need and get some answers to question I've got.

Hi im a newbee in the electrical world.
my name is sharon i am teaching myself in the circuit and making electrical goodies.
I would like to know if you or anyone knows what a DPI UNIT is ? Apparently what it can do is to step up wattage but by keeping the voltage the same,
i am working with 48vd.
Is it trur ?

Hello. I'm a new student as well into the electrical world.
You can call me Ryuu. I'm soon-to-be 20 in 2 weeks. (xD) and currently taking up an engineering course. I don't know if this is quite known, but I'm taking up Computer Engineering. I'm also a fan of anime and tokusatsu. I'm mostly shy in real. Let's all get along. :D

Hello Everyone. My name is nestora. I would love to modify all kinds of electronic and mechanical gadgets. I know there's a ton of information on youtube and the rest of the online universe, but could hardlly ever get to ask questions. I'm not a graduate of any electronic or engineering school but i can comprehend the basics, especially in Physics and Chemistry. Like the concept of Power, Watts, Voltage, Electron, Protons and Neutrons as well as Chemical Reactions. Hope I can get some questions answered by signing up here.

Answer questions? That's pretty much what we do here.
Of course, you have a responsibility to be clear about what you want and what you have to work with. We can only give good answers when we have a good idea what you need.

Hello everyone, I'm a 23 year old Mechanical Engineering student from Leeds, England. I've recently continued my apprenticeship, after having a forced 4 year break, so some of the things I am learning are proving a little harder to sink in.

Hello! I"m a industrial automation engineer with large IT and science background. I'm old enough to memorize times when computers was big, and RAM was small. But electronics is my passion forever!

Good morning, I am Husserl FONOU, studying EE engineering at universty of BUEA in Cameroon, level 400. My discipline is POWER SYSTEMS ENGINEERING. i don't have a very high knowledge in practical but i only have one DREAM: to participate in the line of production of RENEWABLE ENERGY and to produce new devices such as ELECTRIC CAR, ELECTRIC MACHINES in general.

Hi -- I've been doing lighting and furniture design for a year as a part time hobby/way to supplement income. I live in Brooklyn, NY, US. I prefer learning new information from practical and real-life application in lieu of textbooks. Typically, it takes me a bit to understand new concepts, but once I can apply and integrate them into my knowledge base, I learn very quickly. Looking forward to being a part of this community.
