So, there are two wires going into HV transformer (R and BU).

Just to confirm:

Should I remove BU going into Magnetron Fan and instead feed onto HV transformer (in place of R connector input for HV)? And keep BU connected to second HV terminal as is. In this case, Magnetron fan and turntable will be disconnected - is it okay to feed HV transformer without magnetron fan connected?

Or should I continue to feed BU into magnetron fan, but also connect a wire from that BU to HV transformer terminal (in place of R connector input for HV).

I just want to make sure I am getting it right and don't cause other problems.

When you say connect the magnetron - you meant connect P27-2 feed to HV transformer input, correct? So, basically I am removing red wire from HV input and instead connecting BLU (27-2) to where Red was connected on HV transformer.

Alright, so that worked. So, it seems HV circuit including transformer, capacitor and magnetron are good. Finally, it feels like I am getting close, so thank you for that advise. Greatly appreciated...

Does this pretty much confirm it's relay (P26-2 R) problem or should I verify anything else? In circuit diagram, there is something called magnetron T.O.D. connected to P26-2 R. Not sure what that is...

Here is the picture of the relay I have on circuit board.

Any advise on where can I find replacement? I don't think it's a whirlpool model specific part.

If it's working fine leave it alone, otherwise you're looking at getting another relay to replace the faulty one, me i would get a slave relay and parallel the coils , and link it across the original bad contacts.

TOD is a thermal overload device.

Is it okay to reuse P27-2 this way by doubling it? I just used temporary connectors - so may have to find good way to connect wires properly. What's the best way to connect two clips on single pin?

I am attaching another pic.

First I thought the one with red/black wire is the problem relay. But, it's possible that relay is the one next to it. As you can see, there are several units next to each other. So, I am bit afraid of messing something up in the circuit board if I replace relay.

If there is no issue with keeping P27-2 feed both HV transformer and magnetron fan - I would go with that option.

I would measure the current on the relay output with all loads on, the relay is rated at 15A @120V.

It seems current is close to 15 A. I measured 14.xx, but multimeter I have is 10A only (might have blown multimeter fuse). Is the current too close to the relay capacity?

If that's the case, which relay part # do I need from the picture I posted earlier?

You need to search for a 24V coil, 15/30 Amp contacts , ideally with the same pinout to fit. Otherwise get one to suit and glue it and rewire it.

Just wanted to confirm that the problem relay is the one I marked in green circle (picture attached). It's next to R/BK P26-2 connector. Thanks.
