What led to the discovery of proton?
1) Artificial radioactive disintegration of Be9 by alpha particles
2) Artificial disintegration of N14 with alpha particle
3) Radioactive decay of certain elements
4) Scattering of alpha particles by the heavier nuclei
Revered Members,
Rutherford's experiment was with thin gold foil which proved the existence of nucleus with positive charge. But I am not sure whether this led to the discovery of proton. I dont know which occurred first. I need the members' help in this regard
