Haven't come across this symbol before. What sort of cap is this?

To me it looks like a diode acting like a varicap.
As it is on the chip, a diode is easier to create.

That's what I thought, I never saw any symbol like that, and it didn't look like a normal symbol.

Having a closer look, it could indeed be a drawing error.
The same hook is also shown at D1:
