Trying to find out what kind of sound processor Kiss 95.7 (wkss) in Hartford CT used to use before they got there omnia 6. They had an extremely rich vibrant silky sound with a kind of detail I have never heard before on FM post compression/limiting.

I suspect it may have been software of some sort because they were only using an optimod 8200..

Yes. Because it was a while after they had the Omnia no one could remember.

 

Does anyone know what FM stations use relative to pre-processing software or hardware that gives a glossy rich warm lively sound?
