Kindly advise what is the electronic component should be connected to the highlighted below with symbol JU1? and what is the SHDN for?

Its a Jumper link, option. Coded 'JU1'

SHDN is 'shutdown', the pin needs to be grounded for shutdown and linked to Vcc for operation.

Sorry after so long i need to ask one more thing...what is the symbol as in highlighted circled 1 what do i need make -- is it like pin? to place jumper to connect between one to another?

 

It's just a connection to the outside world, use what you want ..
