can not read any of the numbers on the IC, can you post the info or take a macro shot of the IC itself, without any information from the IC itself, no one can tell just by looking at it.

My camera is not that good. I've looked in a sunlight and I see LDPR and below "LDPR" I see "009C" I have searched for those and nothing. The IC has eight pins, four on each sides.

I have no idea either.

To the upper left of the IC, looks like the upper end of the cap is blown off; down & left from the cap, the vertical resistor looks like it's upper end is damaged/gone and upper right corner is missing/chipped.

No. Above the IC are just points that has nothing. My only concern is in the red circle. As you can see some of its pins are damaged by corrosion. On the IC has "LDPR 0009C". Google has nothing on it.

Here's a clear picture:

It's an LT3470A
Product page: http://www.linear.com/product/LT3470A
Datasheet: http://cds.linear.com/docs/Datasheet/3470afb.pdf
Look under "Order Information" on page 2; LDPR is used as the marking on all three temp range parts.

I first went to this site & page:
http://www.qsl.net/dl7avf/smdcode/cl.html#TOC
Didn't find LDPR, but found a couple of LDPx's that were Linear Technology part numbers. A quick search on Linears' site nailed it.

For future reference, bookmark the index page:

Ahhhhhhh! Thanks! I was searching but found nothing. The next step is to find a seller that ships to the UK :)

Farnell UK doesn't have the LT3470A (250mA), but they have a couple versions of the LT3470 (200mA). Farnell indicates 300mA for one of them, but that is not correct. I suggest that you don't try the non-A suffix.

I suggest you call the Linear Technology direct sales in Buckinghamshire; perhaps that is not that far from you.

I did some more looking, and stand by the direct sales recommendation; everything else turned out to be a waste of time.

Thanks for the support throughout this. I'll give Linear a call and get the exact model. I'll report what they say tomorrow.

I have placed an order on their direct website. So I should expect them within two weeks. Our UK branch does not store parts. Thanks for the help!;)
