Hello,
What does Bandwidth mean. In Satellite Communication?
GSAT-15 is an Indian communication satellite similar to GSAT-10 to augment the capacity of transponders to provide more bandwidth for Direct-to-Home ...
Launch date‎: ‎11 November 2015
Bandwidth‎: ‎36 megahertz

Nice launch.

There is the bandwidth of raw RF frequency band size for each down-link transponder. The channel allocation for a system might be say 20MHz but H/V antenna polarization is used to separate the signal overlap with 40MHz between same polarity. The digital signal S/R (for TV, etc...) throughput speed is another measure that might be a signal 'bandwidth' here.

C and Ku band transponders at the location GSAT-15 is headed to.

I have seen tower and satellite transmitter and receiver.
how they send signal, in micro controller we just use gates with logic. what about transmitters?

there are differfent types of transpoonders, the "bent pipe" is the simplest, just a reciever front end, if, and mixer to transmit frequency folowed by power amplifier. the "bandwidth" would be determined by the filters in the IF stage.for satelite transponders, it would be uneconomical to have the signal detected and decoded, then to have that modulate the transmitter.
