Does anyone know what are the algorithm or mathamatics used in G-Code to guide the CNC machine head?

I need to know what is the connection between Gcode and Mid point circle algorithm and ZMAP?

 

I don't know what ZMAP is but if programming in G code, the book by Peter Smid 'Programming handbook' is an industry standard.
