Hi
Can anyone help please?
I want to use an 8038 IC to produce a square wave and triangular wave output. I am using Electronics Work Bench Multism 9. This chip is no longer available in Multism 9. Can anyone suggest an alternative or equivalent OR A different way to go about this.
Thanks

i only know one way of generating sq wave
use opamp with high gain with sinusoidal i/p
for getting sq wave.
use opamp as integrator to get sawtooth wave with digital signal at i/p
i dont know anything abt gen triangular ones :( will a sq wave ac wave give triangular wave???
well what else do u expect from mech student (actually my engg course is a hybrid of mech and electrical so i am jack of to trades master of none :( )

Hi Papabravo
New to this site and first time I have posted anything!
Thanks for reply, have data sheet and read some of it.
I can see what it does but can't see an alternative in EWB.

Maybe just skip the simulation and do the prototyping directly? Or you could simulate just part of your circuit, like the output amplifier/buffer.

Creating a symbol so you can do a schematic should be straightforward. Creating simulation models is a bit more complex. You will probably get further faster if you skip the simulation on this one. Unless you can find one that is done already I think you are wasting your time on the simulation.
