Welcome to AAC!
I am designing a new oven that needs a 555 timer. See the oven at 2MinutePizza.com
Difficult to think of any 555 timer application that would require a consultant. What are your requirements and what is your consulting budget?

Not that I'm interested. I give free advice. For pay work is too much bother unless you're taking about 10's of thousands of dollars in consulting fees.

Who knew that knowing the 555 inside and out could be so potentially lucrative. I missed the boat and was on the wrong dock for my whole career.

You would probably be better off incorporating a microcontroller. That will give you much better accuracy and precision, as well as opening up the doors to a lot more functionality.

Before we get ahead of ourselves, what do you want the ‘555 to do? It may or may not be an appropriate solution for your problem.

Bob, I do not know what device to use. All I know is that I need an inexpensive shut off timer to shut this 120V, 10 amp oven off after 2.5 minutes. Please google or go to <Mod - link deleted> THANKS ! Mike

MOD NOTE: @senior citizen defender, product promotion is not allowed on AAC. Please stop trying to insert a link to your website. Further attempts may result in a permanent ban.

Describe the requirements you have and what you are trying to achieve.

Keep in mind that if you are trying to design a product that you hope to market commercially, you will need to meet industry regulatory requirements, such as UL or other listings.

I concur with @BobTPH. A commercially produced time delay relay or equivalent module—complete with UL/CSA ratings and the like, would be the most expedient and sensible option (given the current information in the thread).
