I bought this for around $16 several months ago because I got tired of incompatibilities with Visio 4.0c (that I acquired from Visio before it was acquired by Microsoft) on Win10. It mentioned requiring a Windows 365 subscription, which it didn't. It was advertised as $12.99, but there was a handling charge.

Visio is one of my most-used programs

 

I just purchased it and it didn't say anything (that I saw) about requiring a Windows 365 subscription. It said several places that this was a one-time lifetime purchase. But the first thing it required that I due is install Office 365. Then, when I launched Visio and went to the Account page, it is requiring that I purchase a Windows 365 subscription. I am NOT going to pay an ongoing subscription in order to use something that I bought as a one-time lifetime purchase!

I sent them a request to help me get around that or to refund my purchase.

I heard back from them and they gave me some slightly different instructions than what was sent with the purchase. Based on that, and a bit of reading between the lines, I was able to get it activated.
