I went to go play a vinyl record for the first time on this unit. I simply turned the power on and the it went OFF. almost as if a circuit/fuse blew or something. The outlet is not the problem. Before this I have used the radio/cd player/cassette and everything was working fine. I have searched and searched the internet trying to find out how to begin troubleshooting with no luck. please help.

Nothing changed. I simply pressed the power button made the sound like it was turning on then nothing. So a quick flash of power then nothing.

Does it have a fuse? Have you opened it to look for damaged parts?

Manual attached. The troubleshooting hint for "won't power on" is to plug it in; not very helpful. Is it still under warranty?
