Any CRT TV set will make an effective receiver, as will any VHS tape/DVD player that also include a tuner.

Just out of curiosity, if i were to have an lcd screen from a broken laptop, and would like to connect the vga (analog) input of it, to a receiver circuit, how would such a reciever circuit look like?
