Warning : this is a question from a beginner and english is not my first language...

Hi,

I want to explain to a group of young students (10-12 years old) the concept of a power grid. Is it a valid approach to use an Breadboard to better understand this concept?

For example, is it possible to use different circuit components to recreate a power substation in a power grid : breakers, transformers, etc.

Thanks!

Ummm, you're supposed to be the teacher...why are you asking us?

If you can't figure it out, you shouldn't be explaining power grids...to anybody.
