Hi. I'm working on a project with Keil uVision and setting up a UART connection to the ESP8266 module.

I've done my baud rate calculation and written the right values into the Baud Rate Register.

In the Simulator, the contents are displayed as accurate but the baud rate is weirdly quite significantly off.

Can someone explain how this is possible?

 

From where I stand I cannot see anything wrong.
Check that the clock frequency is 72MHz in the simulator.
