USART as UART

What is basic difference between USART and UART ?
What is difference in Hardware ???
Can we use USART as a UART ..???

When the abbreviation is written in full, then it is clearly shown that the answer is yes:
Universal Synchronous/Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter

That depends on the specific UART and USARt. The USART is probably more flexible and capable of synchronous signaling.

The only UART/USART conversion I experienced was when Atmel began replacing UARTS with USARTs on their AVR controllers. It was all transparent except that buffering the receive register in the USART (and it was not buffered in the UART) required a small code tweek.

If we can have a look of STM32L471.
UART - 1
USART- 2
LPUART -1

Can we connect USART pin to PC.
What about LPUART.
