I've never been a fan of these "hydraulics" analogies. IMO they do a poor job of helping to explain how electronic devices behave, and I never found it useful to invoke them when teaching as they seemed to do more to confuse than to enlighten. Electronics is best understood in its own terms.

That said, I didn't find anything egregiously wrong with the article.

 

@OBW0549 It may be helpful to some though, depending on learning styles. I'm very visual, so analogies tend to help me. Also, if they were good enough for Jesus..... ;-)

I don't have any complaints about the clarity of the writing, nor any objections to publishing it.

That is a pretty good one! I've actually only ever seen it the other way. Depending on which everyone thinks is better, I could change it.

The best way is the way the reader understands it. Not everyone learns the same. Your analogy is one of many using Associative learning to go from a known to an unknown.
