hi,
i'm a undergraduate student
and i wanna calculate TM AND TE modes in waveguides of different geometry like square, circular, triangular...
Can anybody here tell me about the sites or good books (easy to understand) from which i can get help?
i wanna know about basics...

Field and Wave Electromagnetics by Chang has a pretty straight forword explanation of square and circular wave guides. When it comes down to it, you can start by searching google for methods of solving helmholtz equation in cartesian coordinates (for square and triangular waveguides), or cyllindrical coordiantes (for circular wave guides). After you solve the equation, just apply boundry conditions corrisponding to TE or TM modes. That's it! (hehe)
